About Nat
Natalie Persoglio is a photographic artist and writer whose practice explores memory, nostalgia and human emotion, shaped by her working-class upbringing in the North West of England.
Working across documentary photography, portraiture and abstraction, she considers how photographs acquire psychological and emotional weight over time.
Her practice is informed by psychotherapy and long-form storytelling, often bringing photography into dialogue with text, archive and film. She is particularly interested in absence, family narratives and the afterlife of images.
Her current and forthcoming exhibitions include Is This A Garden? at Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool, The Uncanny Feminine at Manchester Metropolitan University and Conceal / Reveal at Atkinson Gallery, Millfield School.
Work from The Last Time I Saw You was selected by photographer Jermaine Francis for Source Photographic Review’s MA/MFA Graduate feature.
Previous presentations include FORMAT Festival, Derby, and large-scale projections at The Photographers’ Gallery, Soho, which later toured to public sites nationwide. Her work was also selected as the lead image for Historic England’s national exhibition Picturing High Streets.
Her photographs have appeared in publications including The Guardian, Digital Photographer, Amateur Photographer and Shutter Hub’s To The Sea.
She was named Emerging Artist of the Year at The Photography Show at Birmingham NEC and is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society.
Natalie graduated with distinction from Falmouth University’s MA Photography in 2026. She lives and works in the North West of England.
